This 7th generation Kindle has a six-inch touch display. Surrounded with black bezels and curved edges, this ebook reader looks good. Amazon has added a touch user interface to this one and has done away with the physical navigation keys.

There is a micro-USB port, an LED indicator (for charging) and a physical power button at the bottom edge. Overall, the device is good to hold and easy to operate.

The display has got 167ppi e-ink display and the text appears crisp and sharp. The user interface is neat and responsive. The home screen shows three most recently read books, which can be rearranged by title, author, etc.

There is also a cloud option where purchased books are shown and have yet to be downloaded. Tapping on the book will start downloading the book.

There is a top menu bar that features the Home button, a back button, a search button, a button to invoke Goodreads (an online network of book lovers), a shortcut key to the Kindle store and a drop-down menu that offers shortcuts to Kindle FreeTime, Vocabulary Builder, web browser (experimental) and Settings.

It comes with 4GB of internal storage that can store thousands of books. This is Wi-Fi enabled and works smoothly while purchasing books.
