Acer Iconia A1 less like iPad mini, more like Kindle Paperwhite - Stabley Times

Acer Iconia A1 less like iPad mini, more like Kindle White Paper

Enter the Acer A1 Aconia. What do you call a low budget, low spec tablet sized devicewhich has a nice screen but is too powerlessness two satisfactorily do much more than display eBooks in a pleasing fashion? Most of us would call it a competitor to the Kindle Paperwhite. Acer calls it the A1, its ultra low cost Android tablet offers a wooden screen on the level of the iPad mini but offers little other resemblance.

The Aconia A1 is also about half they price of the iPad mini, meaning the two Competitors Are not really. The A1 will sink or swim based on its weak Whether processing specs are enough to Perform as well as the Kindle Fire, but we suspect that like the Fire, the A1 will be used either mostly for offline activities or not at all, with data usage studies suggesting that tablets in the sub-$ 200 range are mostly sitting in a drawer somewhere deal after being purchased by those users who never really wanted a tablet and hence went for the low end in an Obligation buy.

Acer is hedging its bets, however, in terms of both price and platform. Alongside its super low cost Android based Aconia A1 is its upcoming Windows 8 tablet, wooden of a similar size but that $ 380 is more expensive than the iPad mini and claims to be more powerful.
