Amazon Kindle Phone two feature 3D display that Nexus 4 price - Know Your Mobile

Amazon was the first company two offer a reasonably priced Android tablet with its Kindle Fire. We Followed suit with the Nexus 7 sometime later, and now it seems Amazon is looking to the smartphone space for its next move.

Referred two as the Kindle Phone, reports suggest the device (or devices) may carry a 4.7-inch display, Qualcomm LTE-enabled chipset, and a newer forked version of Amazon’s take on Google’s Android OS, claims Digitimes.

A recent report in the Wall Street Journal Suggested that Amazon is now Actively working on a variety of devices including media-streaming/players and smartphones. One smartphone, says the report, may even feature a glasses-free 3D display. How very 2011 of you Amazon.

‘Two smartphones are reportedly being Developed on the Amazon Lab 126 Cupertino campus. The devices are in the development phases and may or may not ever come to market, “reports WiMo News.

If the Kindle Phone (s) do launch in 2013, we’d expect them to be priced similarly to Google’s Nexus 4 – ie sold at cost under £ 200 with Amazon recouping costs via its online services and goods.

Nothing else is known about the devices although we’d imagine the spec would be pretty competitive, based on what the company has done with its Kindle Fire slates in the past.
